What Is the iTero Dental Lab Partner Program?

The iTero Dental Lab Partner Program is a structured partnership model designed for practices seeking long-term consistency, precision, and reliability in digital dentistry. It is not an open enrollment service, but a selective program based on clinical compatibility, communication, and workflow alignment.

Participation begins with a defined evaluation phase, followed by a formal partnership for practices that meet established clinical and production standards. The program is built to support predictable outcomes across restorative cases, with a focus on maintaining consistency over time rather than case-by-case variability.

This approach ensures that both the clinician and the laboratory operate within a shared standard, with clear expectations for case submission, design philosophy, and final outcomes.

A Structured Partnership Model for Digital Dentistry

This program is built as a structured partnership rather than a case-by-case service. It establishes a consistent framework for communication, case submission, and restorative outcomes, ensuring alignment between the clinician and the laboratory from the start.

Designed for Long-Term Clinical Consistency

The program is intended for practices seeking predictable results across all restorative cases. Emphasis is placed on maintaining consistency in occlusion, contacts, and overall design philosophy over time, rather than variability between individual cases.

Acceptance Based on Evaluation and Clinical Standards

Participation is not automatic. Each practice enters through a defined evaluation phase to assess clinical compatibility, impression quality, preparation design, and communication. Acceptance is based on meeting established clinical standards.

Built on Defined Case Volume and Expectations

The partnership is structured around consistent case volume and clear expectations. This ensures that both the clinician and the laboratory maintain an efficient, predictable workflow supported by ongoing collaboration.

Who This Program Is Designed For

This program is intended for practices that prioritize clinical quality, consistency, and long-term collaboration over short-term or price-driven decisions. It is best suited for clinicians who understand digital workflows, value precise communication, and are committed to predictable restorative outcomes across all cases.

The program is not designed for occasional case submission or practices seeking transactional relationships. It is structured for those who are prepared to align with a defined workflow, meet production expectations, and maintain consistency over time.

Quality-Focused, Patient-Centered Practices

This program is designed for clinicians who prioritize clinical outcomes, patient satisfaction, and long-term restorative success. Attention to detail in preparation, margins, occlusion, and shade communication is expected.

Practices Committed to Digital Workflow

Ideal participants are actively using iTero and are comfortable with digital impressions and case submission. A clear understanding of digital workflows supports efficiency, accuracy, and reduced chairside adjustments.

Clinicians Seeking Long-Term Consistency

This program is intended for practices looking to establish a stable, long-term laboratory relationship with consistent results across cases, rather than switching laboratories based on individual case needs.

Practices with Consistent Case Volume

Participation is best suited for practices that maintain regular case submission and can support a defined level of monthly production. Consistency in volume supports workflow alignment and predictable turnaround.

Eligibility Requirements for the Partner Program

Participation in the iTero Dental Lab Partner Program is subject to defined clinical, operational, and financial requirements. These criteria are in place to ensure consistency, efficiency, and a stable long-term partnership. All requirements must be met and maintained throughout the duration of the program.

Clinical and Case Submission Standards

Participating practices must demonstrate consistent clinical quality, including accurate preparations, clear margins, and proper occlusal considerations. Digital impressions must meet acceptable standards for fabrication without repeated adjustments or remakes due to submission errors.

Completion of the 5-Case Evaluation Phase

A minimum of five (5) consecutive cases is required prior to acceptance. These cases will be reviewed for clinical compatibility, communication, and workflow alignment. Completion of this phase does not guarantee acceptance into the program.

Minimum Production Requirements

Practices must demonstrate or reasonably project consistent monthly production in laboratory fees. This ensures alignment with the program’s structure and workflow expectations.

Payment Terms and Financial Responsibility

On-time payment is a strict requirement for participation. All accounts must remain current and in good standing at all times.

Automatic ACH payment arrangements on file are strongly preferred to ensure timely processing and continuity of service. Practices using alternative payment methods must demonstrate a consistent history of on-time payments.

Failure to maintain timely payment may result in suspension or termination of program participation.

Commitment to Program Standards

Participating practices are expected to follow established protocols for case submission, communication, and workflow. Consistency in adhering to these standards is required to maintain program status.

5-Case Evaluation Phase

All practices must complete a 5-case evaluation phase prior to acceptance into the iTero Dental Lab Partner Program. This phase is designed to assess clinical compatibility, communication, and workflow alignment before entering into a long-term partnership.

Cases submitted during this phase should reflect a range of restorative needs and be representative of the practice’s typical clinical work. The objective is to establish consistency, not to evaluate isolated outcomes.

Purpose of the Evaluation

The evaluation phase is intended to determine whether both the clinician and the laboratory are aligned in clinical expectations, design philosophy, and communication. This is not a trial period for isolated cases, but a structured assessment of overall compatibility.

What Will Be Evaluated

Each case will be reviewed for impression quality, preparation design, margin clarity, occlusion, and overall case submission protocols. Feedback may be provided to support alignment and improve outcomes where needed.

Range of Cases

Practices are encouraged to submit a variety of cases that reflect routine clinical work. This may include single units, anterior restorations, posterior cases, and implant-supported restorations when applicable.

Mutual Evaluation Process

This is a two-way evaluation. The clinician may determine that the laboratory is not the right fit, and the laboratory may make the same determination based on clinical standards, communication, and consistency.

Completion Does Not Guarantee Acceptance

Completion of the 5-case evaluation phase does not guarantee acceptance into the partner program. Acceptance is based on overall alignment and the ability to maintain consistent clinical and operational standards.

Partnership Commitment and Expectations

The iTero Dental Lab Partner Program is structured as a long-term collaboration built on consistency, communication, and shared clinical standards. Participation requires an ongoing commitment to maintaining alignment in workflow, case submission, and restorative outcomes.

This is not a short-term arrangement or case-by-case engagement. The program is designed for practices that value stability and are prepared to operate within a defined partnership structure.

3-Year Partnership Commitment

Accepted practices enter into a 3-year partnership agreement. This timeframe supports consistency in clinical outcomes, workflow efficiency, and communication between the practice and the laboratory.

Transferability in the Event of Ownership Change

In the event of a change in practice ownership, the partnership agreement may be transferred to the new owner, subject to review and approval to ensure continued alignment with program standards.

Consistency in Case Submission and Workflow

Participating practices are expected to maintain consistency in how cases are submitted, including adherence to established protocols for digital impressions, case instructions, and communication. This supports predictable results and reduces variability.

Ongoing Communication and Alignment

Clear and consistent communication is required throughout the partnership. This includes timely case discussions, feedback when necessary, and alignment on clinical expectations to maintain consistent outcomes.

Commitment to Long-Term Collaboration

The program is designed for practices seeking a stable, long-term laboratory relationship. Participation reflects a commitment to maintaining consistency over time rather than changing laboratories based on individual case considerations.

Production Requirements and Case Volume

The iTero Dental Lab Partner Program is structured around consistent case volume to support workflow efficiency, communication, and predictable outcomes. Participation requires maintaining a defined level of monthly production aligned with the program’s expectations.

This requirement ensures that both the practice and the laboratory operate within a stable and efficient workflow, allowing for consistency in results and ongoing collaboration.

Minimum Monthly Production Threshold

Participating practices must demonstrate or reasonably project a consistent level of monthly production aligned with the structure of the program. This requirement ensures sufficient case volume to support workflow efficiency, communication, and predictable outcomes.

Verification of Production

Production levels may be verified through recent laboratory activity, a brief discussion, or initial case submissions during the evaluation phase. This process is intended to confirm alignment with program expectations prior to acceptance.

Consistency in Case Volume

Ongoing participation requires maintaining consistent case submission over time. Significant fluctuations in volume may affect workflow alignment and the overall effectiveness of the partnership.

Alignment with Program Structure

The defined production level supports efficient case management, communication, and turnaround expectations. Practices that meet this threshold are better positioned to benefit from the consistency and structure of the program.

What You Can Expect as a Partner

As part of the iTero Dental Lab Partner Program, practices operate within a structured workflow designed to support long-term consistency, efficiency, and predictable restorative outcomes. Cases are approached with a standardized design philosophy to maintain accuracy in margins, contacts, occlusion, and overall esthetics, reducing variability across all submissions. A defined digital workflow ensures efficient case submission, clear communication, and reliable turnaround, minimizing chairside adjustments and improving overall clinical efficiency. Ongoing alignment between the clinician and the laboratory supports consistency over time, allowing practices to operate with confidence rather than adapting to different laboratory approaches on a case-by-case basis. The partnership model is built to provide stability, clarity, and dependable results through a long-term, collaborative approach.
